Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 is school bus driver appreciation day

Wednesday, February 27th, 2019 has been declared by our Minnesota Governor Walz as school bus driver appreciation day across the state of Minnesota.

760,000 reasons why! This is how many kids are transported each day in the state of Minnesota on school buses.

The community’s home town provider, Bluff Country School Bus Service, provides transportation for students in the Lake City, Plainview Elgin Millville and Wabasha Kellogg schools. In addition, they provide service for the Goodhue County Ed district located in Red Wing and the Hiawatha Valley Education District at River Valley Academy and Sail Program in Kellogg.
They employ 73 school bus drivers who make a difference in the lives of children every single day one route at a time.

These drivers are parents, grandparents, retired businessmen, retired farmers, stay at home parents, retired nurses, veterans, school teachers, coaches, and retired ministers.

Bluff Country School Bus has built a team of drivers who have a passion for children and serving their community. They invite you to consider stepping up to serve your community in this role. Our communities are extremely blessed to have “local people” in the driver’s seats transporting our children.

We hope on February 27th 2019, that you will help us honor these humble heroes. If your children or grandchildren ride a school bus or you know somebody who serves your local school district as a school bus driver, we hope you will take the time to acknowledge their dedication.
Safety is paramount let’s support these drivers on Wednesday Feb 27th!

Doug & Cara Grisim of Bluff Country School Bus are grateful for all of these wonderful people who have dedicated themselves to making a difference in the lives of children. They ask that you keep these wonderful people in your prayers this week. Safety is Paramount!
